Learn how to develop your individual leak detection recipe by choosing the right method and adjust pass-fail-criteria for you fuel cell application.
What is the webinar about?
Develop your individual leak detection recipe!
Understand leakages of a fuel cell stack and corresponding risks
Define realistic pass-fail-criteria by understanding possible impacts
Choose the most suitable test methods by knowing pros and cons
Improve your leak detection process by identifying key influences
Each application has its own requirements for tightness. While a potato sack is sufficient to ensure that no potatoes are lost, leaks the size of a human hair can already have an enormous impact on safety, functional efficiency or environment. Having a deeper look into automotive applications we can see numerous components which have to go through a leak detection process.
In the International standard for fuel cell safety IEC 62282-2-100 only 2 of 8 suitable leak detection methods are mentioned. As these two methods are temperature sensitive, it might be necessary to spice up the leak detection recipe by using techniques that are less dependent on environmental influences. Also, the detection of lower leakage rates might be necessary. A wide variety of conditions and factors must be considered, including product, environment, and production process.
